About Emily

Dr. Emily Luebke is an award-winning nature and wildlife photographer in Charlottesville, Virginia. She specializes in capturing the small and often unseen details of the natural world around us. Among her favorite subjects are Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies), the frogs and salamanders found in the woods and vernal pools, the intricate details of flowers and buds, and the color, elegance, and spreading majesty of trees. 

Emily's nature photographs have won awards at local and state contests.  Emily also performs documentary photography and works as a wildlife photographer for the Center for Urban Habitats.  Emily holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina and is a Master Naturalist of Virginia.
